Frequently Asked Questions

I’m interested in exploring what you offer. How do I get started?

Each provider operates independently within their own practice. The best place to start would be to check out the Meet the Providers page to determine which provider you feel would be a good fit for you. Our providers have varying specialties and availability, so reaching out to the provider directly is the best way to get started.

What will the treatment process look like?

Following an initial discussion with your chosen provider, you will be asked to provide your consent to treatment as part of your provider’s initial paperwork process. From there, an initial intake session will occur wherein background information and history will be gathered, limits of confidentiality and privacy will be discussed, and the process of identifying treatment goals will begin. It is common in the initial intake session to discuss frequency and duration of visits, termination, and other logistics. Moving forward from there, you will meet with your provider as decided upon in your initial session.

In most cases, estimating a number of sessions required to treat the identified presenting problems is not possible. Because progress is dependent on multiple factors, the number of sessions required is informed by ongoing collaboration between the provider and the client.

What is the cost of services?

Rates for services vary depending on the provider. Some of our providers work with health insurance companies while others are considered out of network providers who only accept direct payment from their clients. For private pay clients, some providers can provide a monthly statement called a Superbill, which is a document you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. We strongly suggest you contact your health insurance provider to determine their coverage of out of network services prior to starting services.

You have a right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" in the event that you will not be utilizing health insurance. This document is an estimate of charges for scheduled healthcare services. This will be shared with you by your chosen provider. The law requires healthcare providers to provide this to clients who are uninsured or self-paying at least one business day prior to the scheduled service. If your bill is $400 over what was listed in the Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the charges.
